Why Primex Color,
Compounding & Additives?
In an industry where growth is fed by seemingly endless mergers and acquisitions, Primex Color, Compounding & Additives has stayed close to our roots. Our strategic alliance under the Primex Plastics umbrella and ICC family of companies gives us unparalleled access to technology and industry resources while still allowing our business to be driven by customer needs, not arbitrary corporate bottom line concerns. Our plants in Garfield, NJ and Jasper, TN were purchased in 1988 and 1993, respectively. Through modernization and effective workspace planning we’ve turned these into streamlined production facilities that do more than just work for us – they work for our customers. Both the Jasper and Garfield facilities are ISO 9001 certified and all of Primex Color, Compounding & Additives’ operations follow industry best practices such as TQM (Total Quality Management).
Today, Primex Color, Compounding & Additives runs 20 production lines. Responding to customer demand, we recently added three lines dedicated to TPE/TPO production for automotive interior components. Primex Color, Compounding & Additives has the production capacity to fulfill any size order, the expertise to handle any challenge and the flexibility to retool and scale production to meet specific customer needs.
Primex Color, Compounding & Additives also offers a refreshing open-book approach to doing business. Come and visit our facilities, walk the production lines. Ask questions. Sit down with our development team; we’ll spend as much time as necessary to learn your material requirements. And we’ll get to know your business in the process. The Right Investments
Technology doesn’t stand still, and neither do we. Primex Color, Compounding & Additives selectively invests in upgrades and new technologies that provide value for our customers. We’ve added over $1 million in production line upgrades recently and are poised to double that by the end of 2015 with the addition of an advanced down-stream feeding line. This new line will produce top-quality custom compounds from multiple combinations of raw materials that may be too heat or shear sensitive to be introduced in the main extrusion chamber.
In 2014 we expanded critical storage capacity with a new warehouse designed to improve on-hand raw material counts and provide even faster turn-around times for customer orders of any size.
